I was born in 1959 in Niš, Serbia, where I lived, worked, and completed my education until my retirement in 2024.

My inclination toward drawing and painting began in childhood, but I felt a deeper connection with Orthodox iconography during high school. As part of our Art History classes, we visited Serbian churches and monasteries and encountered firsthand the works we were studying. It was then that I first experienced the power and beauty of Orthodox sacred art — not only as artistic expression, but as something that touches the soul.

I still vividly remember standing in awe before the White Angel in Mileševa Monastery, the Crucifixion in Studenica, and the frescoes and icons of Gračanica, Dečani, and the Patriarchate of Peć. It was during those moments that the desire was born within me to one day try to reach that same world with my own brush.

That wish came true about ten years later. After starting a family and finding inner peace, I began spending summers in Donje Međurovo, near Niš. Surrounded by greenery, birdsong, and the quiet rhythm of nature, I painted my first icon — Saint George, my family’s patron saint. Soon afterward came other icons, first for friends and relatives, and then by commission. Over the years, I created more than one hundred icons and frescoes.

Life eventually led me in another direction. In the late 1990s, I began working professionally in web design, a career I pursued until retirement. Although creative in its own way, that work lacked the silence, patience, and contemplative peace required for icon painting.

Today, three decades later, I have returned to Donje Međurovo — this time with the intention of living here permanently. The quiet of nature and the slower rhythm of life have once again led me back to brushes and pigments, rekindling the creative spirit and inspiration of earlier days. Icons are now created slowly, in silence, with the same reverence, enthusiasm, and joy as before.

This website represents my journey — from the first icons painted decades ago to the works of today — a path that leads toward spiritual peace, beauty, and the quiet joy of creation.
